Broadband for the Last Mile

Friday should be a good day at the Kraus House. Our usually second-rate phone company is hopefully bringing us DSL. I know everyone reading this probably has had broadband for three years, but my wife and I have chosen to raise our kids on a farm in rural West Virginia. So, for the past 2.5 years I have been paying high rates for Directway a satellite service. This new service should run at about 5x speed. We'll see. Either way, some new opportunities will be opening up to our family. VOIP without irritating delay, Microsoft Live for the 360 and other online gaming, just overall increased productivity for bill pay, overall speed increase for homework research, and the other stuff of daily life.
