Open Education

So as usual, I get busy an neglect this blog. I have been working a really exciting new program called Globaloria. The project is an open educational environment called MyGLife. It has been a lot of fun working with the educators, meeting new people, and actually participating in a Global learning initiative.

I am maintaining a project blog over here if you are interested in learning more. The program focuses on teaching middle, high, and college students to create Flash-based games. The program delivered through a framework that includes a starter kit, a wiki, and a series of blogs. The educators serve as co-learners and work collaboratively with the students to build games that have a positive social or educational impact. The wiki contains a number of tutorials located either within the wiki or out on the web. My role has been to provide support for all the participants, engage the community, and enroll/recruit new schools.
