Here is a great short movie by Dan Roam on the history of visual thinking. It is a great example of how we can improve learning.

I would love to see more trainers put this type of thinking into their presentations. Specifically on ideas that can be abstract. I wonder if we can convert the iPad into a tool to make these types of presentations. Does anyone know of a specific tool / app for presenting through the iPad?

ReplyDeleteI enjoyed the presentation. My daughter had to explain to me what an iPad is. You helped me to understand the use of a new technology for my teaching.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the comment Carolyn!
ReplyDeleteThe video on visual thinking was very interesting and informative. I believe visual learning is the most common mode of learning and it's history spans many years and generations as the speaker in the video stated. Even though, other modes of learning exist I surmise that they coexist with visual learning. The brain is quickly preoccupied with and immediately begins to process what has been seen by the eyes.
