Learning Site

I learned about a new site from TechCrunch today called Nuvvo. I plan to check it out when I have the time.

  1. I checked out Nuvvo a while back, and while maybe I expected too much, I was rather disappointed.

It is still to structured and LMS like. For instance, their learning objects are "classes" that have an instructor, a begin date, and an end date. And to see the content I have to ask the instructor to let me in!

I look forward to hearing your thoughts on it, perhaps in a future blog post.

  2. It is still structured. I think it stil addresses the "walled garden" of learning as opposed to learning 2.0. The ease of getting the course set-up was nice, but there is still a lot of effort involved in creating content and flow. I don't have the answer to this, but I think this is an issue for creating elearning markets.
