Gates and Jobs Talking about Technology

I watched the Gates and Jobs interview at the D Conference by the WSJ. It is obviously very interesting to listen to two people who have had incredible success talk about their views of the past and the future.

Some highlights for me:

Steve Jobs says that he gave away Apple's past to Standford when he returned to Apple so that they could focus on the future.

Jobs said that internally Apple felt the Microsoft had to lose for Apple to win and he had to change that mind set.

When asked about interesting things on the Internet Bill Gates discussed the new Internet-services ability to support education. He said that these things are finally interactive and engaging.

They both felt like these were really innovative times for technology.
