Granularity

One issue with developing Learning Objects is granularity. How much information should be in a single LO? Of course, like all education-related questions, the answer is, It Depends. I think that LO will tend to be small relative to existing courseware, but not a single paragraph or page of information. The design of the content should be directly based on the learning objective or educational outcomes. This should dictate to some extent the size of the content. For years, I have considered a LO to be based on all content associated with a single learning objective, but I am starting revise the view.
